Courses & Learning

573 pieces of professional learning in three collections — the Masterclasses, the Professional Courses, and the Practice Library — all written by the Institute against the IAM Professional Standards, at every membership grade.

Three Collections, One Standard

Choose the scale of learning you need

The Institute publishes its learning at three scales, and they do different jobs. The Practice Library makes one point in a spare quarter-hour. The Professional Courses teach a method in an hour or two. The Masterclasses run live, in cohort, over a term. Every session, course, and lesson counts as Structured CPD.

A Term · 23 Programmes

The IAM Masterclasses

Twenty-three live, taught programmes on three levels — twenty-four sessions and 54 Programme Learning Hours each — delivered live online, face-to-face, and in-house, worked on your own organisational material. Sector editions for universities, the public sector, and corporates.

Explore the Masterclasses

1–2 Hours · 250 Courses

The IAM Professional Courses

Two hundred and fifty standalone CPD courses — fifty at each of the five membership grades. Each teaches a method, works through real cases, and asks you to apply it to your own work before it ends. Online, or delivered face to face to your team.

15–20 Minutes · 300 Lessons

The IAM Practice Library

Three hundred lessons of fifteen to twenty minutes — sixty at each grade — each teaching a single thing and ending with you doing that thing in your own work. Every lesson is Structured CPD, with Ethics and Sustainability series meeting the classified minima.

Looking for the assessed route? The five IAM Certified Programmes teach and assess the whole discipline at a Career Stage and lead towards a membership grade — they sit alongside these CPD collections, not within them.
