Verify a Member, Organisation, Centre, or Course

Confirm an individual or Student membership, a Corporate Membership, a Recognised Centre and its approved programmes, an endorsed course, or a certificate — free, without an account, in seconds. Every credential remains verifiable indefinitely, even if a centre’s recognition has since ended.

Certificate Verification

Verify a certificate or membership

Enter a certificate number, or the completer's name together with their consented verification identifier, to confirm a credential. The service returns issued/valid, revoked, or not found — never any personal contact data. Digital certificates also carry a QR code resolving directly to the verification result.

Written verification. Employers and institutions may request written verification of any certificate, membership grade, or centre status by emailing centres@instam.org. Membership status can also be confirmed via enquiry@instam.org.

The Public Registers

Five registers, one purpose: trust

Register

IAM Recognised Centres

Every centre currently recognised to deliver IAM Certified Programmes — the programmes each is approved to deliver, the approved sites and countries, and the recognition period. Only organisations listed hold current recognition.

Endorsed Provision

Third-party qualifications and courses endorsed by the Institute — provider, title, category, indicative Career Stage alignment, and endorsement period.

Programme Completers

Every Certified Programme and Role Mastery completion, carried on a digital badge with verifiable metadata — the programme, the role course, and the designation where one was chosen.

The programmes
Seen a false claim? If an organisation claims to deliver an IAM Certified Programme and does not appear on the register, please tell us at centres@instam.org — we investigate every report. Use of IAM post-nominals after membership has lapsed is likewise prohibited and should be reported.

Looking for someone?

Verification confirms; the Directory finds

Verification answers a question about a person you have already identified. If you are trying to find a recognised professional in the first place — by grade, country, sector, Competency Domain, or mentoring availability — that is what the IAM Directory is for.

Precisely what Verify returns

Five registers, five answers

Verification is free, needs no sign-in, and discloses nothing beyond what is necessary to confirm the credential.

What you checkWhat is returned
An individual member or Student MemberMembership status, membership number, category or grade, post-nominal entitlement where one applies, and Good Standing. For a Student Member, the programme or course of enrolment. Nothing else, and no contact details.
A Corporate MemberOrganisation name, Corporate Membership status and band, year of admission, and Good Standing.
A Recognised CentreRecognition status and period, the programmes approved for delivery — Certified Programmes, specialised programmes, and CPD courses — and the approved sites.
An endorsed course, qualification, or eventThe title, the provider, the Competency Domains it maps to, the Career Stage, and the two-year endorsement period.
A certificate or digital badgeThe holder’s name, the programme or course, the awarding date, and the certificate reference — whether awarded by the Institute directly, through a Recognised Centre, or as a co-badged certificate on an endorsed course.
Verification works whichever Directory privacy level a member has chosen — a withheld Directory entry does not withhold verification. That is deliberate: a credential is worth holding because it can always be checked.

Credentials you can rely on

Registers searchable by name, country, and programme; verification results in under two seconds; certificates that outlive any centre's recognition.
