The IAM Grade Navigator

Enter your qualifications and your professional experience, and the Navigator works out which grade you are eligible for and by which route — Certified Programme, Recognition of Prior Learning, or Experience-Assessed — applying the criteria of the Membership Regulation exactly as the Institute will. It produces a personal report you can save and use when you apply.

Nothing leaves your device. The tool has no connection to any server. Your answers are not stored, transmitted, or seen by the Institute.
It applies the published criteria in the Membership Regulation, so what it tells you is what an assessor would find.
It is a guide, not a decision. Admission is decided by the Institute on the evidence you supply, within the published maximum periods.

IAM Checkpoint

IAM Checkpoint tests your knowledge against the Standards, domain by domain, and is available to members on the IAM Portal after sign-in. Like every Institute tool it runs on your device; only your own record of having used it, if you choose to keep one, goes anywhere.
