1. About these terms

Membership, programme enrolment, CPD, centre recognition, and endorsement are each governed by their own published regulations, schemes, and agreements, which take precedence over this website's descriptions of them.

We take care to keep it accurate and current, but the governing instruments — including the IAM Membership Regulation, CPD Regulation, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics, and the Centre Recognition and Endorsement Schemes — are the authoritative statements of the Institute's requirements. Nothing on this site constitutes professional or legal advice.
3. Intellectual property
The IAM name, coat of arms, logo, the Recognised Centre Mark, the Endorsement Mark, and the content of this site are the property of the Institute or its licensors. You may not use the IAM name, crest, or marks in any way that implies IAM endorsement, approval, or guarantee without the prior written consent of the Board. Recognised Centres and Endorsed Providers use the licensed marks strictly under the published brand guidelines.
4. Designations and misrepresentation
IAM post-nominal designations may be used only while membership is current and in Good Standing. Claiming IAM membership, recognition, or endorsement that is not held — or delivering provision described as an IAM Certified Programme without current recognition — is misrepresentation and will be investigated.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse this site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or its registers, submit false verification requests, or use site content to harvest personal data.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Institute excludes liability for loss arising from reliance on website content, from interruption of the site's availability, or from third-party links. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
